It’s 2023 and social media is continuing to grow at warp speed. With over 2 billion Internet users having active social media accounts, social media for businesses is no longer optional. Business owners are now leveraging the popularity of social media as a premier branding and marketing tool.

Social media is a powerful and cost-effective strategy for targeting customers. It’s also quite challenging for most business owners to master because of channel fragmentation, frequent changes on existing platforms, and the periodic introduction of new platforms that demand our attention (TikTok anyone?).

In this class our President, Maisha Walker, will tackle the ever-changing world of social media marketing. Which platforms should you use? What are the 2023 social media marketing trends you can’t miss?

In her 3-part class Maisha will guide you through:
• Map and usage of social channels – especially Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Pinterest, Instagram and TikTok
• What is the audience for each channel?
• How to identify which channel(s) you should focus on
• Leveraging the Facebook/Instagram Universe – groups, pages, profiles, stories, reels & Live
• Should you post? Should you boost? Should you buy ads?
• Extensive “cheat sheet” of content ideas you can pull from to start creating posts
• Creating your first social media calendar & deciding frequency
• How to use scheduling tools like Hootsuite, Later, Edgar etc.
• Reviewing analytics – how to tell what’s working

Included with the class is a private 30 min session with Maisha (normally $350/hour). Each student receives a personal 1-on-1 session with Maisha to help guide your next steps and make sure you leave with all of your questions answered.
